Easter 2010 - People headings - Dan

testimony easter 2010 - Dan

The worst part about building walls is while none can enter, you trap yourself behind a hedge constructed of fear. If the sky is the limit then why does the ceiling feel so close and if potential is present why can’t I develop beyond my immaturity? I was, am scared to relinquish what I don’t even own. Lord calm my spirit, daily help me to deny myself to live in you, to be truly vulnerable to your will. Control this life and direct this mind...mold this vessel into an instrument for your glory, fill me with your truth...I know the truth, God.

The Journey Church has surrounded me with a community that forces you to break down your barriers and loosen my grip on this life that isn’t even mine. Just as Christ surrounded himself with the community of disciples, we should also surround ourselves with a Gospel led community. Even a glass wall divides and Windex can’t last forever.

Journey Through Values: Truth//Adam Sheffield

Truth seems like an obvious value, an age-old archetype that any religious organization would have, but imagine if a religion promoted itself by saying “Falsehoods and lies are what we value!” Four words for that: Re-donk-u-lus!
