The Journey Women’s Ministry exists to invest in the lives of women, drawing them unto Christ and to one another in genuine community so they can be the women, wives and mothers that God has called them to be.


Here are some things going on throughout the year for the Women of The Journey:

 

 Everett Gospel Mission Women's Shelter

The women of the Journey have a great opportunity to serve other ladies at the Everett Gospel Mission. As needed, we go to the Women and Children's Shelter to help clean their dorm-style living areas and make them a sparkling and safe place for the women and children who are sheltered there. Our goal is to develop friendships with these ladies and be able to share the love of Christ with them through our words and actions.

Give Warmth | Blanket Making and Soup Drive

Thanks to all the women who participated in this year's Give Warmth event! We are thrilled to have collected over 60 blankets for those in need and got off to a great start at collecting non-perishable food for a church-hosted community pantry.

 

Ladies Retreat

Each spring, the women of The Journey step away for an overnight retreat to pursue God and relationships with one another without life's regular distractions.

Thanks to everyone who attended the 2010 'Made for More' Ladies Retreat. We hope you have been strengthened and have a renewed trust in your God.

 

Bible Studies

Journey women participate in organized Bible studies several times a year. The multi-week studies encourage a daily reliance on God’s Word, as well as small group discussion and prayer. Topics vary from breaking free from spiritual bondage to exploring the significance of the church being called the Bride of Christ.

 

Ladies Social Events

A couple times a year you can expect a ladies-only event designed for women of all seasons of life to come together for a fun activity, from dinner out on the town to an in-house game night. Ladies events are a great opportunity to reach out to friends or neighbors and simply relax and have a good time!
