This Sunday we will be talking about God's call on our life, and how it should dominate us. Which means I need a vision for this so I can be rightly motivated and I can't help but to be drawn to the old hymn "Be Thou My Vision." Here are the lyrics:

It is funny, when most pastors talk about being culturally relevant, it is usually in regards to their message series and then they flippantly throw in 1 Cor 9:19-23. (Please read before you go on.) But when I look at what they're doing it is not culturally relevant at all. My point is that Paul looked to built bridges. He didn't set up shop and say ok we are here now come to us. Superfluous. Crazy word huh? But a perfect word when you think about the love that God has for you. Dictionary.com has this definition: more than enough; overabundant; extra. That is Jesus! That is the Gospel! Pauls motivation we see in 2 Cor Ch 5 for service was many things we see in this chapter, like the judgement seat of Christ, the power of the gospel, and the commission of the Lord, but we also see in vs 12-16 the "love" of Christ.
In verse 14 in the ESV it says, "For the love of Christ ...

I ran across this small explanation about agape love from John MacArthur in preparing for this weekends "Dominated" by God's Love message. “Love” (in Greek, agapē) refers to a volitional love, not an emotional feeling. It is a love that is unrestricted, unrestrained, and unconditional.
