Have you seen the Lord today?

Luke 9:28, 29, 32 "Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him Peter and John and James and went up on the mountain to pray. and as he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became dazzling white. And as the men were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, 'Master it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah'-not knowing what he said."

Joseph Parker a fiery, brash, outspoken (I like him already) preacher in the 1850's said this, "If we, as the church, do not get back to spiritual visions, glimpses of heaven, and an awareness of a greater glory and life, we will lose our faith. Our altar will become nothing but cold empty stone, never blessed with a visit from heaven."

And another summed it up this way, "This is the worlds need today--people who have seen the Lord."

Have you seen the Lord today? Is he your vision? People need the Lord and yet if there is no one who can show him, what are they to do? Climb the mountain today, climb the mountain daily and see the Lord and get your vision.

Journey Through Values: Truth//Adam Sheffield

Truth seems like an obvious value, an age-old archetype that any religious organization would have, but imagine if a religion promoted itself by saying “Falsehoods and lies are what we value!” Four words for that: Re-donk-u-lus!
