Jesus gave a command to the Apostles to wait on God before moving on to the next part of their mission. Waiting isn't always easy, no matter who you are. But Jesus also encouraged them by ensuring that the Father's promise would be fulfilled. Even though they had heard Jesus speak of the coming fulfillment of God's promise, they still weren't exactly sure what it entailed, but they would soon find out.
